Job summary

ISPA Technology, LLC is seeking a Software Developer to support DoD modeling and simulation projects in Panama City Beach, FL. You’ll maintain and enhance mature codebases in Fortran and C, and help develop new capabilities for high-assurance software used in operational decision support.

You will work with engineers and subject matter experts to translate complex requirements into dependable software and conduct thorough testing to ensure computational accuracy and reliability.

Qualifications

• Proficient in Fortran and C development and maintenance.
• Experience with scientific, engineering, numerical analysis, or modeling software.
• Ability to understand, troubleshoot, and modify established codebases.
• Strong debugging, testing, and version-control capabilities.
• Translate mathematical/technical requirements into software implementations.
• Maintain computation accuracy and reliable software behavior.

Responsibilities

• Develop, maintain, debug, and enhance Fortran/C software.
• Support modeling, simulation apps, and numerical algorithms.
• Identify defects, performance limitations, and improvement opportunities.
• Integrate new capabilities while preserving existing functionality.
• Create and run regression tests and compare with reference results.
• Investigate discrepancies and work with experts to resolve them.
• Support builds, configuration management, and release activities.
• Document changes, assumptions, tests, and user guidance.
• Adhere to security requirements for handling sensitive information.
