Job summary

People, Technology & Processes, LLC is seeking an Engineering Technician I to support Newport, RI operations. The role focuses on cabling, equipment, and preventive/remedial maintenance across network, Media Center, and telephone systems.

Responsibilities include installing and testing Ethernet, copper, coaxial, and fiber optic cabling, performing routine maintenance, labeling equipment, and supporting installation/relocation of network and telecom assets. A SECRET clearance is required.

Qualifications

Experience with installation, termination, testing, and maintenance of network cabling
Ability to perform preventive and remedial maintenance on devices and facilities
Familiarity with labeling equipment, cables, and jacks for proper classification

Responsibilities

Install, terminate, repair, test, and maintain Ethernet, copper, coaxial, and fiber optic cabling
Perform remedial and preventive maintenance of devices, facilities, and components
Mark equipment, cables, and jacks with appropriate classification labels
Support installation and relocation of network, Media Center, and telephone equipment
Cabling installation, termination, testing, and maintenance skills
Personnel supporting the classified and unclassified network infrastructure must hold the certifications required to support the systems in accordance with SECNAV M-5239.2
