Job summary

Serco is seeking an Electronics Maintenance Technician to support the Navy’s SFOMF in Fort Lauderdale, FL. You will repair, troubleshoot, install, and maintain electronic systems on ship and shore equipment, collaborating with a 10-15 person team.

The role requires a current Secret Clearance and US citizenship, a high school diploma, and 5 years of hands-on electronics experience. Strong tooling, reading schematics, and travel up to 10% are expected.

Qualifications

• 5 years of experience as an Electronics Technician performing repairs, troubleshooting, modifications and installations of various types of electronic equipment.
• Experience troubleshooting and repairing radios and radars.
• Ability to read blueprints, technical diagrams, circuit and electrical plans.
• Proficiency with standard testing and diagnostic equipment.

Responsibilities

• Repair, troubleshoot, modify and install electronic equipment and related devices such as radar, radio, sonar, navigational aids.
• Apply electronics principles to determine malfunctions and restore operation.
• Perform engineering computations and use analysis programs as needed.
• Acquire working knowledge of SFOMF databases and information storage.
• Prepare technical documentation and present information at project reviews.
