Job summary

Serco Inc. in Fort Lauderdale, FL is seeking an Electronics Maintenance Technician to support the South Florida Ocean Measurement Facility (SFOMF) with maintenance, repair, and installation of electronic systems used in naval testing and operations.

You will join a 10-15 person team, work on radar, radios, and navigational equipment, travel up to 10%, and hold a current Secret clearance. A High School Diploma/GED and 5 years of electronics repair experience are required.

Qualifications

Active Security Clearance (Secret) required or ability to obtain.
U.S. citizenship is required.
High School Diploma or GED is required.
5 years of electronics technician experience in repairs and installations.
Experience with radios and radar repair is preferred.
Ability to read blueprints and electrical diagrams.
Proficient with multimeters and related testing tools.
Willingness to travel up to 10% as needed.
Strong communication and teamwork abilities.

Responsibilities

Repair, troubleshoot, modify, and install electronic equipment (radar, radio, sonar, navigational aids) and related devices.
Analyze equipment malfunctions and restore operation; assess performance and reliability.
Perform engineering calculations and use analysis tools as required.
Collect technical data from manuals and reports and document findings.
Assist engineers on technical aspects of projects and prepare technical documentation.
Present information at project reviews and interface with customers as needed.
