Northrop Grumman is seeking an EHS Engineer to support the development and implementation of Environmental, Health, and Safety programs in Huntsville, AL. The role involves collaborating with leaders to enhance safety culture and ensuring regulatory compliance across operations.

The position requires a Bachelor’s in a related field with experience in EHS or a Master’s with fewer years, plus active DoD Secret clearance and travel as needed. Relocation assistance may be available.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science degree in safety, industrial hygiene, engineering, environmental science, or a related field; or a Master’s with 0+ years of experience. 4 extra years may substitute for degree.
• Bachelor of Science with 5+ years in EHS; or Master’s with 3 years; or PhD with 1 year; 4 years may substitute.
• Active DoD Secret security clearance required at time of application; SAP within scope eligibility.

Responsibilities

• Support the continuous improvement of safety culture across EHS programs.
• Develop, implement, and improve EHS programs, procedures, and training materials.
• Create EHS documentation: JHA, PHA, and training content aligned with regs and standards.
• Roll out new EHS processes and tools with feedback for improvement.
• Assist with incident reporting, investigations, safety observations, and risk mitigation.
