Job summary

Vantor is seeking a Direct Access Support Engineer for our Mission Operations Center in Longmont, CO. This role requires an active U.S. Government Secret clearance and the ability to support 24/7 rotational shifts to meet mission goals.

You will preserve spacecraft and ground systems, coordinate with internal teams, and ensure timely delivery of imagery and data to customers while maintaining high system reliability and security compliance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering, computer science, or a relevant field; four additional years of experience may substitute for a degree.
• Background in Windows & Unix/Linux environments.
• Familiarity with scripting languages such as Python or Ruby.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Support Operations through arbitration and execution of requests from International Defense and customers.
• Preserve spacecraft and ground systems; ensure satellite tasking requirements are met and deliver imagery/data to customers.
• Monitor satellite access windows to guarantee successful execution and delivery within deadlines.
• Frontline incident management for direct access customers outside standard business hours.
• Troubleshoot Tier 1 and 2 issues in high-pressure situations.
• Work with operations, sales, and customer-facing teams on requirements and implementation.
• Provide input and ensure accuracy of operations and transition documentation.
