Job summary

Bering-Alaka`ina Holdings, LLC seeks a Defense Travel Specialist to support a government customer at Joint Base Pearl Harbor-Hickam, Hawaiʻi. You will analyze ODTA reports, manage LOAs, budget labels, and DTS travel assets, and ensure timely processing in accordance with Joint Travel Regulations.

The role requires DoD financial systems expertise, strong data analytics, and proficiency with MS Office. US citizenship and an active Secret clearance are required.

Qualifications

• Must have a good working experience with Department of Defense financial management operations and be technically proficient in the systems employed in executing its core mission.
• Representative programs and systems include but not limited to: CFMS, STARS-FL, and SABRS.
• Must have high degree of competence in use of Microsoft Applications such as Word, Excel, and Power Point, and skills in oral, and written communication.

Responsibilities

• Track the creation of, providing revisions to, or deleting Lines of Accounting (loas), budget labels, and cross-organization loas including cross-organization routing lists.
• Perform rollover reviews of annual fiscal year loas and budget labels to identify funds to be rolled over, in accordance with the DODFMR.
• On a monthly basis, extract, analyze, and disseminate various DTS reports such as dormant authorizations and settlement vouchers for subordinate units.
• Follow-up on subordinate units to verify if the required actions were completed within timeframes prescribed in the DODFMR.
• Prepare and submit end user Appointment/Termination Record – Authorized Signature DD Form 577 to the ODTA for follow-on processing (approx. 50 per month).
• On a monthly basis, retain and archive these forms and revalidate their currency.
• Inform end users of assigned roles and training requirements before system access is granted.
• Obtain, attach, and file end user training certificates evidencing completion with DD Form 577.
• Be designated as a Non-DTS Entry Agent (NDEA) for all customer and subordinate units for travel using a Centrally Billed Account (CBA) and DTS (approx. 10 per quarter).
• Extract & analyze DTS User Listing Reports and update DTS profiles for military and civilian personnel (approx. 30 profile updates per month for 24 units).
• Gather, compile, and package approx. 20 KSDS per month for TOP/TOT, Reimbursable Work Orders and Civilian Pay & Labor testing.
• On a monthly basis, obtain, file, and maintain the SOU and initial/refresher training certificates for ~40 government personnel.
• Identify and notify government personnel who need GTCC training updates for 24 subordinate units.
• Utilize Citi Direct to extract and disseminate GTCC delinquent accounts reports and share with APCs.
• Identify, calculate, and report the dollar value and number of delinquent accounts.
• Prepare and submit briefs monthly for APC review and disposition.
• Other duties as assigned.
