Job summary

Bering-Alaka`ina Holdings, LLC is seeking a Defense Travel Specialist to provide financial and travel support for a government client at Joint Base Pearl Harbor-Hickam, Hawai'i. The role involves supporting the ODTA, reviewing ODTA reports, and ensuring accurate organizational data and travel documentation.

The position requires DoD financial management systems experience (CFMS, STARS-FL, SABRS), strong data analytics, and proficiency with MS Office. U.S.

Qualifications

• Experience with Department of Defense financial management operations and related systems.
• Proficiency with CFMS, STARS-FL, and SABRS.
• Strong data analytics skills and knowledge of DoD Appropriations and Fiscal law.
• Competence in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint; strong written and verbal communication.
• Fluency in English.

Responsibilities

• Track creation, revisions, and deletion of Lines of Accounting and cross-organization loas and routing lists (approx. 10–20 transactions/day).
• Perform rollover reviews of annual loas and budget labels (approx. 250 per quarter) per DODFMR.
• Extract, analyze, and disseminate DTS reports (dormant authorizations, settlement vouchers) monthly.
• Follow-up with subordinate units to meet timeframes in the DODFMR.
• Prepare and submit DD Form 577 for end user appointments/terminations (approx. 50 per month).
• Retain and archive forms and revalidate currency monthly.
• Inform end users of roles and training requirements prior to system access.
• File end user training certificates and GTCC training notices.
• Act as Non-DTS Entry Agent (NDEA) for travel with CBA; prepare travel authorizations and settlement vouchers (approx. 10/quarter).
• Extract & analyze DTS User Listing Reports; update DTS profiles for military and civilian users (approx. 30 updates/month).
• Compile KSDS for TOP/TOT, RWO, Civilian Pay & Labor testing (approx. 20 per month).
• Obtain, file, and maintain SOU and training certificates for government personnel (approx. 40).
• Notify personnel who need GTCC training (approx. 24 units).
• Disseminate GTCC delinquent/ misuse reports to APC after government review (approx. 24 units).
• Identify, calculate, and report delinquent account values.
• Prepare monthly briefs for APC review.
• Other duties as assigned.
