Job summary

JANUS Research Group seeks a Data Solutions Architect to design and deploy AI-enabled decision-support platforms for Army experimentation and modernization at Fort Bliss. You will architect ontology, write code, and integrate AI with Palantir Foundry across Azure and Power Platform, briefing leadership on architecture.

This hands-on role requires initiative and fast learning of complex processes. The ideal candidate has 3+ years building enterprise data platforms, 2+ years on Palantir Foundry,

Qualifications

• Education: Bachelor's in CS, Engineering, Data/Information Systems, Math, or related field; equivalent experience may substitute.
• Clearance: Active Secret clearance required (SIPR access for production deployment).
• Proven autonomy with ambiguous requirements and independent solution development.
• Vantage/Palantir: knowledge of Army Vantage data repository or Palantir Foundry, including ontology design and application build.
• LLM/AI Integration: experience integrating commercial LLM APIs into production workflows with human-in-the-loop controls.
• Experience: 3+ years engineering enterprise data/analytics platforms; 2+ years on Palantir-based platforms; 3+ years in ETL/data wrangling/pipeline development.
• Delivery: track record delivering against fixed, gated timelines with government capability acceptance (IOC/FOC).

Responsibilities

• Initiative and autonomy to drive tasks with minimal supervision.
• Design and implement ontology schemas, object types, and permissioning models on Army Vantage/Foundry.
• Design, build, and operate LLM-powered agents with human-in-the-loop controls.
• Build production data-capture, analytics, and review apps with multi-step forms and pipelines.
• Plan and execute E2E deployment and accreditation promotions across environments.
• Brief platform recommendations to senior leadership for formal acceptance.
• Develop Foundry dashboards and Power BI distributions; work with staff teams on predictive analytics in Python.
