Job summary

Tuknik Government Services, LLC, a Koniag Government Services company, seeks a Mid Appian Developer with a Secret clearance to support a U.S. Army program in the DC Metro area.

This contingent role focuses on building secure, low-code components within Appian and integrating with established architecture standards. Responsibilities include designing interfaces, process models, records, and tests; migrating legacy data patterns; contributing to backlog refinement and sprint planning; and ensuring

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in CS/engineering/IS or related field; relevant experience may substitute.
• Four+ years of application development, including at least two years with Appian.
• U.S. citizenship and active clearance or eligibility required at start of performance.

Responsibilities

• Develop Appian interfaces, process models, Record Types, expression rules, reports, integrations, and security configurations.
• Implement backlog items, defects, data changes, and workflow automations per acceptance criteria.
• Support conversion of legacy Data Type-based components to Record Type-based patterns.
• Build forms, routing, approvals, notifications, and record views.
• Create and maintain tests for developed components across unit, application, and integration levels.
• Investigate Tier 3 defects and coordinate permanent fixes with senior engineers.
• Participate in code/design reviews and address findings before promotion.
• Prepare technical notes, configuration records, test evidence, release docs, and knowledge articles.
• Follow branching, packaging, security, accessibility, and deployment standards.
• Participate in backlog refinement, sprint planning, demos, retrospectives, and production support rotations.
