Astrion is seeking a Quality Systems Engineer in Huntsville, AL to support the USSF Space Systems Command Launch Assured Access to Space Launch Acquisition Directorate. The role focuses on non-recurring design validation and quality engineering activities for launch service providers.

The ideal candidate has a DoD Secret clearance, US citizenship, a BS or MS in engineering, 10+ years of related experience, and proficiency with MS Office, Jira and Confluence.

Competenze

• Active DoD Secret clearance required.
• U.S. Citizenship required.
• BS or MS in Mechanical, Manufacturing, Quality or Industrial Engineering.
• Interacts with USSF, NASA, NRO, Launch Vehicle, subcontractors, etc.
• MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Jira and Confluence proficiency.
• Minimum 10 years of directly related experience including design, test, manufacture, and operation.

Mansioni

• Support reviews of design, manufacturing, quality, and test procedures.
• Conduct risk assessments and provide mitigations.
• Plan and conduct quality process audits.
• Perform knowledge capture, process definition, training.
• Prepare and present written and verbal reports to senior engineers and management.
• Provide Launch Vehicle Quality Systems Engineering expertise.
• Perform quality engineering functions such as design reviews, risk management, and supplier management.
