Job summary

People, Technology & Processes, LLC at Yuma Proving Ground, AZ, seeks a Parachute Rigger to provide FAA-certified rigging support to the Military Free Fall School, packing non-tactical Ram-Air Parachute Systems to sustain jump operations.

Responsibilities include rapid packing, record-keeping with DA Form 3912, minor repairs per 14 CFR Part 65, and adherence to OEM and SOPs, with tight daily packing limits and a secret clearance requirement.

Qualifications

• FAA Senior Parachute Rigger certification required.
• Active Secret clearance required.
• US citizenship required.
• Successful completion of a practical pack interview (3 main parachutes within 21 minutes).
• Compliance with FAA and 14 CFR Part 65 eligibility, including drug screening.

Responsibilities

• Pack main parachutes into approved containers per OEM procedures.
• Repack instructor parachute during active jump cycles to minimize downtime.
• Pack a standard parachute within five minutes; surge packing of 20 systems within 30 minutes.
• Complete Army Parachute Log Record (DA Form 3912) after each pack.
• Perform minor repairs (canopy patching, hand tacking); major repairs only under supervision.
• Limit to 40 parachute systems packed per rigger per day.
