Job summary

People, Technology & Processes is seeking a FAA-certified Parachute Rigger to support the Military Free Fall School at Yuma Proving Ground, AZ. Responsibilities include packing parachutes to OEM specs, repacking during active cycles, and maintaining standard logs.

The role requires current FAA Senior Parachute Rigger certification, US citizenship, and a current Secret clearance. Background checks and drug screening are required.

Qualifications

• FAA Senior Parachute Rigger certification current.
• U.S. citizenship required.
• Active Secret clearance required.
• Able to pass background checks and drug screening.

Responsibilities

• Pack Performance Designs main parachutes into approved containers per OEM guidelines.
• Repack instructor's alternate parachute during active jumps to minimize downtime.
• Pack a standard parachute within five minutes; surge pack up to 20 systems in 30 minutes.
• Complete and maintain the Army Parachute Log Record (DA Form 3912).
• Perform canopy patching and hand tacking; major repairs under supervision.
• Limit: not exceeding 40 parachute systems packed per rigger per day.
