Job summary

Critical Solutions is seeking a Data Engineer to support our federal customer in Norfolk, VA. This role requires active DoD Secret clearance and is full-time onsite.

You will design, build, and sustain secure data pipelines, integrate cloud and on-premises platforms, and work with BI and security teams to deliver reliable analytics and governed data products in an Agile/DevOps environment.

Qualifications

• Active DoD Secret clearance is required.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, test, deploy, and maintain scalable ETL/ELT pipelines.
• Develop data models and curated data sets for analytics.
• Implement data-quality checks, reconciliation controls, monitoring, and alerting.
• Troubleshoot pipeline failures, data discrepancies, performance issues.
• Collaborate with analysts, BI developers, data owners, system administrators, and stakeholders.
• Support platform upgrades and data migrations in hybrid environments.
• Create and maintain technical documentation and runbooks.
• Participate in Agile planning, backlog refinement, and incident response.
