Job summary

CoinDesk is seeking an experienced Manager / Sr. Manager of SecOps & Cyber Defense to lead our 24/7 security detection and response across US, UK, and EMEA.

You will guide a lean, technical SOC and incident response group, work on detection pipelines across cloud and hybrid infra, and own threat hunting and triage. The role is based in NYC, onsite at the Chelsea office, four days per week, reporting to the Head of Security Engineering.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of hands-on SOC operations, threat detection and incident response.
• 2+ years of direct people management or team leadership experience, preferably distributed.

Responsibilities

• Lead a small, high-performing SOC team across multiple time zones.
• Serve as primary escalation point for high-severity security incidents.
• Define and track SOC metrics to drive continuous improvement.
• Collaborate with Infrastructure, Cloud, DevOps, Legal and Compliance during triage.
