Job summary

PayMore is seeking a Second Hand Electronics Buyer for its upcoming Rocklin, CA location. You will evaluate, negotiate, and purchase used electronics to ensure quality inventory and profitable margins while delivering strong customer experiences.

Responsibilities include inspecting devices, testing electronics, determining market value, maintaining purchase records, and coordinating inventory transfer to sales channels.

Qualifications

• Must have excellent electronics knowledge and experience handling smartphones, tablets, laptops, and game systems.
• Must be familiar with popular secondhand online marketplaces and able to reference completed listings prices.
• Must be comfortable building relationships with a wide range of customers and adapt quickly.
• Must be able to type quickly and accurately; a typing test will be required.
• Must follow store protocols and procedures.
• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• Punctual, upbeat, team player with a professional appearance.
• English proficiency required; Spanish speaking a plus.

Responsibilities

• Greet and assist customers who bring in devices to sell, trade or recycle.
• Inspect and test electronics including phones, laptops, game consoles and other tech devices.
• Accurately assess device condition and market value.
• Negotiate purchasing offers with customers while maintaining a professional demeanor.
• Maintain detailed records of purchased items and transactions.
• Stay updated on current market trends and electronics resale values.
• Assist in organizing and storing newly purchased inventory.
• Collaborate with the listing and sales team to ensure smooth transition of inventory to the sales floor or online eCommerce platforms.
• Deliver excellent customer service that aligns with PayMore's reputation for honesty and fair deals.
