Job summary

PayMore in Maplewood, MO is seeking a Second Hand Electronics Buyer who can quickly identify, test, and price a wide range of consumer electronics for our customers. You will greet shoppers, explain our processes, and negotiate fair pricing while building lasting relationships.

Job description

We are looking for a fast paced, detail oriented, tech savvy people person who can quickly identify, test, and price electronics for our customers. We provide training and state of the art tools to ensure we provide a world class experience for our customers and Team Members.

We are seeking a Second Hand Electronics Buyer for our Maplewood, MO location. This person will be great with people, have consumer electronic knowledge, will be able to negotiate fair pricing for new, used, and broken electronics, while fostering relationships with our customers.

Responsibilities:

• Greet and explain our company processes to incoming customers. Build relationships with customers.
• Identify and test a wide range of consumer electronics from our customers.
• Determine pricing for a wide range of electronics from smartphones, tablets, laptops, game systems and more through our software, and referencing additional resources provided.
• Negotiate pricing with our customers, keeping a professional attitude, demeanor and business acumen.
• Close sales and generate intake receipts.

Requirements:

• Must have excellent electronics knowledge and handling of smartphones, tablets, laptops, game systems – e.g. data wiping smartphones, removing iCloud accounts, testing game systems, Windows use, MacOS use, being able to quickly identify, test, and assess a wide variety of consumer electronics while communicating with customers in a high paced environment.
• Must be a people person, ability to befriend, relate, and build relationships with all types of customers. Ability to remain focused in a high volume/fast paced environment – Ability to adapt from customer to customer, situation to situation
• Must be able to type quickly and accurately. Accuracy is paramount as you will be entering in final records of purchase.
• Punctual, "get it done" upbeat attitude, team player, professional demeanor.
• Must be able to follow protocol and procedures.
• Professional appearance.
• Must be well spoken (English). Bilingual Spanish a major plus.
• Sales experience a plus, but not required.
• Must be able to remain on your feet for hours at a time, possibly 8+ hours. Ability to lift 25lb items.

Buyer Compensation:

• Hourly pay: $16 to $18/hour depending on experience.
• Hours: Full time. Hours required 10am - 7pm Monday - Friday, 10-4 Saturday and closed on Sunday's.
