An established educational institution is seeking dedicated Special Education Teachers for its Extended School Year (ESY) program. Minimum Qualifications:
Closing Date: Candidates will be reviewed upon submission with selection starting no sooner than five days following the posting. If additional applicants are needed and the posting is re-opened, subsequent submitted candidates will be reviewed upon submission closer to ESY programming dates.
Salary Range/Hourly Rate: $40 hour.
Dates of ESY: June 11, 2025 (Set Up) and June 12, 13, 16, 17, 18, 20, 23, 24, 25, 26, 27, 30 for ESY Programming.
Work Days/Times: Proposed days: Mon-Fri per the ESY calendar; Proposed times: 7:15 am-11:15 am (Dates, times and location may change based on student and/or District needs).
Student Level: Secondary
Proposed Site: Transition Education Center (Formerly Hugo Elementary) (The final determination for the ESY site will be made closer to ESY programming).
Position Summary: The White Bear Lake Area Schools is currently seeking Special Education Teachers to work in our Extended School Year (ESY) program. Performs difficult professional work providing a broad range of teaching and direct instructional services or specific learning programs, assisting students to develop skills, attitudes and knowledge needed as a foundation for future learning in accordance with each student's ability, using a variety of teaching and learning methods at various levels to a targeted audience, and related work as apparent or assigned. Work is performed under the limited supervision of the Student Support Services Administrators. Continuous oversight is exercised over Paraprofessional - Student Support Services.
Education and/or Experience: Bachelor's degree with coursework in special education teaching, or related field, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
