Job summary

The Pawtucket School Department is seeking dedicated special education educators for the 2026-2027 school year across Shea High School, Tolman High School and the Sp. Ed. Department in Pawtucket, RI.

Positions involve implementing individualized instruction, IEP development, and collaboration with families and professionals. Ideal candidates will have a Bachelor's degree and RI teaching certificate in Special Education, with experience in inclusive classrooms and data-driven instructional

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required or preferred in education or related field.
• RI teaching certificate in Special Education required.
• Experience with students with disabilities and IEPs is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Provide specialized and individualized instruction for students with disabilities per IEPs.
• Maintain documentation of student progress and communicate with parents and professionals.
• Develop IEPs and serve as leader of the IEP team for assigned caseload.
• Collaborate with teachers and staff to provide required accommodations and modifications.
• Attend meetings and participate in RTI and professional development.
