Job summary

Qualifications

• RIDE Certification 9-12 Special Education is required.
• Previous experience as a Special Educator is preferred.
• At least 3 years of relevant experience preferred.
• Bachelor degree preferred.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement IEP goals and objectives based on evaluation results.
• Provide a basic core program for identified students consistent with state requirements and IEP.
• Guide the learning process toward curriculum goals and communicate objectives to students.
• Plan and supervise assignments of teacher assistants.
• Provide social skills training in conjunction with IEP goals.
• Participate in eligibility and IEP meetings as scheduled.
• Maintain accurate records for state reports.
