Job summary

Enlightium Academy in Spokane, WA seeks a motivated Secondary Math Teacher to guide students in a dynamic, asynchronous online learning environment. You will respond to questions, grade assignments, host group sessions, and create engaging student-centered content.

The ideal candidate has a math focus, at least two years of teaching experience, strong digital skills, and excellent written and verbal communication, with a heart for helping students succeed in a Christian education setting.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Mathematics or related field.
• At least two years of teaching experience, preferably in math subjects.
• Strong technical proficiency; comfortable navigating digital tools and platforms.
• Excellent typing speed and accuracy (45+ WPM).
• Proven ability to build rapport with students and parents in online settings.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong work ethic in a fast-paced online environment.
• Passion for student success and growth in spiritual and academic areas.

Position Overview

We are seeking a motivated and caring Secondary Math Teacher to manage and educate students in a dynamic, asynchronous learning, digital environment. This role involves guiding students through their spiritual and academic learning by responding to their questions, grading assignments, hosting group sessions, and creating engaging student-centered content. You will also proactively reach out to students needing additional support, utilizing written communication, phone calls, and video/screen-sharing sessions to ensure their success.

Key responsibilities include initiating meaningful dialogue with students, adhering to the established curriculum and timeline, and providing additional teaching materials when necessary. The ideal candidate will foster positive, professional relationships with students, parents, peers, and supervisors while maintaining appropriate boundaries with students.

Strong communication skills, subject mastery, and a passion for student well-being are essential in this position.

Salary & Hours

Compensation for this position depends on the candidate’s experience and qualifications, the approximate hourly pay range is $18-$24 per hour.
