Job summary

Conagra Brands is seeking a Packaging Operator in Troy, Ohio for the secondary packaging area. The role emphasizes safety, accurate machine operation, and adherence to packaging specifications.

You will work a night shift, handle paperwork, and support quality and safety initiatives across the manufacturing line. The position requires familiarity with GMP/USDA guidelines, the ability to distinguish good and bad product, and willingness to work overtime and weekends as needed.

Responsibilities

• Operate machines in Secondary Packaging.
• Adjust machines and set correct codes.
• Verify correct packaging materials are used.
• Complete required paperwork daily per quality guidelines.
• Support safety, quality, BOS, 5S, and equipment ownership programs.
• Participate in training documentation for the team.
• Work overtime and weekends as needed.
• Follow all GMPs and USDA guidelines.

Job description

Shift: 11:00 PM-7:30 AM

Hourly Rate: $22.29 an hour + $1.00 shift differential

• Safety is your #1 responsibility
• Know all Job Hazards within the SJ Room
• Operation of all machines used in Secondary Packaging
• Understand different types of product and bar code numbers
• Make adjustments to machine and set correct codes
• Verify the usage of the correct packaging materials for product
• Ability to distinguish good and bad product
• Cool work climate and requires repetitive work with your hands
• Ability to complete paperwork
• Support CPS activities to include but not limited to: Safety, Quality, BOS, 5S, Equipment Ownership, Area Ownership, Team participation, CSD, etc.
• Follow all GMP's and USDA guidelines
• Must be able to work overtime and weekends as needed
• Properly complete required paperwork on a daily basis per Quality guidelines
• Participate in the development, implementation and sustaining (CSD) of training documentation for all team members.
• Responsible for any other tasks/duties as directed by your Supervisor/Line Lead/Cell Lead
• SAP documentation
