• Encourage students to set and maintain standards of classroom behavior.
• Strive to implement the district's philosophy of education and instructional goals.
• Maintain accurate records as required by law and policy.
• Assist administration in enforcing policies governing student life and classroom behavior.
• Be available to students and parents outside instructional hours when required.
• Strive to maintain and improve professional competence.
• Attend staff meetings and serve on committees as required.
• Maintain punctual, reliable attendance.

PERFORMANCE RESPONSIBILITIES

• 1) May include both Journalism and Yearbook courses.

• 4) Creates a classroom environment that is conducive to learning and appropriate to the maturity and interests of the students.

• 6) Strives to implement by instruction and action, the district's philosophy of education and instructional goals and objectives.
• 7) Maintains accurate, complete and correct records as required by law, district policy and administrative regulation.
• 8) Assists the administration in implementing all policies and/or rules governing student life and conduct and for the classroom, develops reasonable rules of classroom behavior and procedure, and maintains order in the classroom in a fair and just manner.
• 9) Makes provision for being available to students and parents for education related purposes outside the instructional day when required or requested to do so under reasonable terms.
• 10) Strives to maintain and improve professional competence.
• 11) Attends staff meetings and serves on staff committees as required.
• 12) Punctual, reliable and predictable attendance is required
• 13) Other duties as assigned.
