Job summary

Dishchii’bikoh Community School seeks a Secondary Education Teacher to educate students in grades 7–12. The teacher will develop lesson plans, provide accommodations, and maintain attendance and gradebooks as required.

Applicants must have Arizona Department of Education Secondary Education Teacher Certification in any subject, or a provisional transfer/Teaching Intern certificate, and must pass fingerprint clearance. Position available for the 2026-2027 school year.

Qualifications

• Must hold AZ DOE Secondary Education Teaching Certification in any subject or a provisional transfer/teaching intern certificate or CTE certificate.
• Candidates must pass fingerprint clearance and provide RAP sheet from last five years.
• Work authorization proof required if not a US citizen or permanent resident.

Responsibilities

• Teach the subject you are qualified to teach to grades 7–12.
• Develop lesson plans and provide accommodations/modifications.
• Maintain attendance records and log attendance in NASIS.
• Maintain a gradebook and update NASIS Gradebook regularly.
• Attend required professional development and trainings.
• Comply with the school Employee Handbook.
• Maintain required clearances and AZ ED certification per NCLB for Highly Qualified Teachers.
• Manage student behavior using approved disciplinary procedures.
• Communicate with parents and collaborate with general education teachers.
