Job summary

Hunt Electric Corporation in Wisconsin is seeking skilled Fabricators to join our manufacturing team. This Local Union 14 position (Fabricator Level 1-5 depending on experience and weld test) is on the second shift.

You will read blueprints, operate Mig/Tig/Arc welders, inspect welds, follow safety protocols, and contribute to Lean 5S improvement while collaborating with the team to meet specifications and timelines.

Qualifications

• Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and drawings to determine specifications.
• Operate manual or semi-automatic welding equipment to fuse metal using Mig, Tig and Arc welding units.
• Inspect welded surfaces and structures for flaws and ensure compliance with specifications.
• Follow safety protocols and Lean Manufacturing/5S to improve processes.

Responsibilities

• Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and detailed drawings to determine specifications and calculate the dimensions of components.
• Operate manual or semi-automatic welding equipment to fuse metal segments using Mig, Tig and Arc welding units.
• Inspect welded surfaces and structures to discover flaws and ensure compliance with specifications.
• Maintain equipment in a condition that does not compromise safety.
• Collaborate with team members to ensure projects are completed on time and to specifications.
• Follow all safety protocols and procedures to ensure a safe working environment.
• Participate in Lean Manufacturing and 5s exercises to continuously improve processes.
