Job summary

Gray Manufacturing Company seeks an entry-level welder for 2nd shift (Mon-Thu 4:30pm-3:00am) to perform welding tasks using handheld guns powered by generators. Applicants must have vocational training or equivalent and pass a welding test.

Responsibilities include producing welded components, handling parts with monorails or a bridge crane, reading blueprints, maintaining weld equipment, and ensuring safety and quality in a fast-paced production environment.

Qualifications

• Welding test will be given prior to job award.
• Must pass welding certification test in flat position within six months of start date.
• Vocational/On-the-job training is acceptable requirements.

Responsibilities

• Produce welded components by following procedures using short arc and spray transfer.
• Hang components on monorail or skid/pallet for further processing.
• Follow drawings/blueprints to meet specifications.
• Prepare and maintain welding machines; assist Robot welder operations.
• Maintain equipment and inspect processed parts for quality.
• Resolve production problems with leadmen and supervisors.
• Document work activities with time sheets and work orders.
• Maintain a safe and clean work environment.
