Job summary

TEN (Transportation Equipment Network) is the North American leader in transportation equipment, trailer maintenance, and fleet solutions. The second shift opening seeks a Trailer Technician/Trailer Mechanic to diagnose, maintain, and repair a wide range of trailers including dry vans, reefers, and flatbeds.

Responsibilities include diagnostics, preventive maintenance, and repairs on mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and structural systems while ensuring DOT compliance.

Qualifications

• Experience as a Trailer Technician or similar role.
• Hands-on repair and maintenance on trailers.
• Knowledge of brake, suspension, hydraulics, electrical, and DOT requirements.
• Ability to lift heavy equipment and use shop tools.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose, inspect, and repair mechanical, electrical, and structural issues on trailers.
• Perform preventive maintenance (PM) and routine trailer servicing.
• Repair or replace brake systems, suspensions, axles, landing gear, and wheel-end components.
• Troubleshoot and repair lighting systems, wiring, and electrical components.
• Complete frame, body, and structural repairs, including welding and fabrication.
• Conduct DOT inspections and ensure work meets standards.
• Document repairs and maintain accurate work orders in the maintenance system.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and compliant work environment.
• Communicate repair needs with supervisors and team members.
