Job summary

Torrey Holistics in Lake Orion, Michigan is seeking a Shipping & Receiving Technician for the 2nd shift (3:00pm–11:30pm) on a 3–6 month contract. You will pick and package daily shipments and maintain inventory records. You will assist in shipping, receiving and production control, train coworkers, and ensure accurate documentation.

Proficiency with forklifts and forklift safety is required. The role requires a high school diploma and 1–2+ years in shipping/receiving, with ability to lift 40 lbs

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• 1-2+ years experience in shipping/receiving.
• Experience in the automotive industry preferred.
• Ability to lift 40 lbs and operate forklift/hi-lo.

Responsibilities

• Help maintain accurate inventories
• Audit shippers for changes and update records
• Audit outgoing and incoming shipments
• Assist customer service inquiries and follow-ups
• Train coworkers in shipping/receiving processes
• Stage and prepare shipments; ensure FIFO procedures
• Receive shipments, input daily receiving data
• Unload/load carrier deliveries and maintain warehouse safety
