This on-site role leads teams on the production floor and dock areas, coordinating with Production, QA, Maintenance, and transportation partners, and maintaining inventory controls in a USDA-regulated facility.

Qualifications

• Two to five years of shipping, receiving, warehouse, or logistics experience.
• Ability to supervise a second shift operation and coordinate priorities.
• Experience with inventory accuracy, documentation, and safe material handling.

Responsibilities

• Supervise, train, assign, and coach shipping and receiving employees; establish daily priorities and handoffs.
• Coordinate inbound receipts, outbound orders, trailer loading, and carrier arrivals.
• Verify product identity, lot info, quantities, labeling, and shipping docs; resolve discrepancies.
• Maintain accurate inventory transactions and records in systems.
• Ensure proper product rotation, temperature control, and storage practices.
• Follow USDA, food safety, sanitation, and company requirements; report issues.
• Monitor forklift and material handling practices; report incidents immediately.
• Track shift performance, staffing, attendance, and workflow; address issues with HR when needed.
• Communicate shortages, delays, equipment problems to departments; document issues for next shift.
• Support cycle counts, inventory investigations, and process improvements.
