Job summary

Harrison, Walker & Harper is hiring a Shipping and Receiving Clerk for the 2nd shift in Maxton, NC. The role involves coordinating inbound/outbound shipments, scheduling carrier appointments, and ensuring all paperwork and data in the WMS are accurate and timely.

Applicants should have a high school diploma or equivalent; associate's degree preferred, with proven shipping/receiving experience and strong communication skills. The shift runs Monday–Friday, 4:00 PM–12:30 AM.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required; associate's degree preferred.
• Proven customer support experience or experience as a Shipping and Receiving Clerk.
• Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
• Ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate inbound and outbound shipment schedules with customers, carriers, and warehouse operations teams.
• Schedule carrier appointments for shipping and receiving.
• Verify inbound/outbound paperwork for accuracy and compliance.
• Enter shipping, receiving, inventory, and load information into WMS.
• Prepare and sign paperwork ensuring load and carrier information align with customer instructions and food safety/quality requirements.
• Review forklift operator and warehouse transaction entries for accuracy in the WMS.
• Maintain customer portals, WMS, and internal data systems for accurate information.
