Job summary

Specialty Building Products is seeking a 2nd Shift Shipping Coordinator to join our values-based organization. This role coordinates shipments, communicates with carriers, and ensures on-time delivery of goods from our facilities to customers or distribution centers.

The 2nd shift runs 3:00pm–11:30pm. You will manage shipping docs, liaise with freight providers, track orders, and support inventory, cost controls, and process improvements within a team‑oriented, equal‑opportunity environment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Additional certification or training in logistics preferred.
• Prior experience in shipping, logistics, or related field preferred.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and schedule shipments with customers, production schedules, and inventory levels.
• Liaise with carriers, freight forwarders, and logistics providers to arrange transportation and delivery of goods.
• Prepare shipping documents and ensure regulatory compliance and export documentation.
• Monitor inventory levels and coordinate with warehouse for picking, packing, and staging of products for shipment.
• Serve as a point of contact for customers on shipping inquiries and delivery arrangements.
• Obtain shipping quotes and negotiate rates with carriers to optimize transportation costs.
• Identify inefficiencies or bottlenecks in the shipping process and propose improvements.
