Job summary

Glenstone Museum in Potomac, Maryland, is seeking a Security Shift Supervisor to oversee guard teams, enforce protocols, and coordinate with emergency responders to safeguard the collection.

This full-time role requires flexibility for off-hour events, strong leadership, and experience with access control, intrusion, and video surveillance; CPR/First Aid/AED certifications encouraged.

Qualifications

• Must have High School Diploma or GED.
• COVID-19 vaccination and boosters.
• Ability to walk, climb stairs, lift up to 50 pounds.
• CPR/First Aid/AED certifications or ability to earn within 30 days of employment.

Responsibilities

• Manage, train, and coach the security guard team; conduct annual reviews and assessments.
• Execute established security protocols; verify policy and procedure standards are met.
• Manage service providers and contracts for department needs.
• Become gate house qualified and work there when needed.
• Become control room qualified and work in the control room when needed.
• Operate vehicles assigned to the security department.
• Must be available for off-hour events and 24/7 emergency contact.
