Job summary

The Glen Retirement is seeking a Part-Time Courtesy Officer to work weekends and most holidays, with 8:00 a.m. – 4:00 p.m. shifts.

You will observe fire and safety risks, assist with resident rounds, direct visitors during tours, and respond to residents' emergency call lights while ensuring a secure and welcoming environment for all. Ideal candidates are people-oriented with strong communication skills; prior security experience is desirable, and flexibility to work overtime is expected.

Qualifications

• Must be people-oriented with good communication skills.
• Prior experience as a security officer is desirable.
• Flexible hours and ability to work overtime as required.
• Well organized and self-motivated with computer skills relevant to job functions.

Responsibilities

• Observe for fire and safety hazards and conduct regular rounds to maintain safety for residents, visitors, and staff.
• Direct visitors during tours and respond to residents’ emergency call lights.
