Job summary

Crane Aerospace & Electronics in Burbank, CA is seeking a Quality Specialist for the second shift to ensure the quality of produced assemblies through inspection against specifications and drawings.

You will use AS9102 First Article Inspections, GD&T, and CMM data to verification; communicate trends to the quality organization and document findings. The role requires close collaboration with engineering and manufacturing teams.

Qualifications

• 3+ to 5 years of experience as a Quality Inspector in a manufacturing environment with strong customer service experience.
• Capable of performing AS9102 First Article Inspections.
• Proficient at interpreting engineering drawings, blueprints, and CAD models using GD&T.
• Strong computer skills: Word, Excel;GD&T knowledge; familiarity with Zeiss CMM and Calypso.

Responsibilities

• Identify workmanship or process damage issues from blueprints and customer drawings to determine acceptance, rejection or rework.
• Conduct high-accuracy visual inspections to verify physical properties.
• Ensure build and test manufacturing processes are complete and compliant.
• Communicate errors and systemic trends to the quality organization and enter data into software tools.
