Job summary

Crane Aerospace & Electronics in Burbank, CA is seeking a Quality Specialist – Mechanical Inspection (First Shift). The role emphasizes identifying workmanship issues and verifying assemblies against drawings with GD&T and precision inspection tools.

You will inspect from blueprints, perform First Article Inspections, and report findings to the quality team while ensuring AS9100 compliance. The ideal candidate has 3+ years in manufacturing quality inspection, and familiarity with CMMs, Calypso,

Qualifications

Minimum of 3–5 years experience as a Quality Inspector in a manufacturing environment with high customer service requirements.
Must be capable of completing AS9102 First Article Inspections.
Ability to interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, and CAD models using GD&T to define inspection requirements.

Responsibilities

Works from blueprints, customer drawings and military standards to determine acceptance, rejection, or rework of assemblies or components.
Performs high-accuracy visual inspections to verify physical properties.
Ensures build and test manufacturing processes are completed.
Communicates errors and trends to the quality organization.
Enters data into software tools.
Other duties as assigned by supervisor or management.
