Job summary

Crane Aerospace & Electronics is seeking a Quality Specialist – Mechanical Inspection (First Shift) in Burbank, CA. You will inspect assemblies and supplier components against drawings and standards, using GD&T and precision tools.

You will work from blueprints, perform First Article and Final Inspections, and drive quality improvements with the team. The role requires 3–5 years in manufacturing quality, proficient MS Word/Excel, and familiarity with GD&T, Zeiss CMM, and Calypso.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years of experience as a Quality Inspector in manufacturing.
• Experience in Mechanical inspection, First Article Inspection and Final Inspection.
• Capable of AS9102 First Article Inspections.
• Interpretation of engineering drawings, GD&T, and CAD models.

Responsibilities

• Identify workmanship or process damage and determine acceptance, rejection or rework.
• Conduct high-accuracy visual inspections to verify physical properties.
• Ensure build and test manufacturing processes are complete.
• Communicate errors and trends to the quality organization.
• Enter data into software tools and support process improvements.
• Perform other tasks as assigned by supervisor/management.
