Job summary

Bal Seal Engineering Colorado Springs is seeking a Supervisory Production Exempt to oversee a 2nd shift, leading approx. 14 automated equipment operators. The role ensures schedules, quality, and costs are met while adhering to safety and corporate policies.

The ideal candidate has 3+ years supervisory experience and 5+ years manufacturing process exposure, with Lean/Six Sigma knowledge and strong leadership skills.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Lean or Six Sigma Yellow Belt required; Green Belt preferred.
• Minimum of three (3) years of progressive and relevant supervision experience.
• Minimum of five (5) years of manufacturing process experience.
• Experience with complex scheduling.

Responsibilities

• Lead a team of ~14 automated equipment operators on 2nd shift.
• Follow established procedures and approved supervisory processes.
• Review production schedules, engineering specs, orders, and related information to determine methods and activities.
• Ensure operators are working safely and meeting production, quality, and cost targets.
• Administer and execute policies and practices affecting supervised employees.
• Drive continuous improvement using Lean/Six Sigma or other methods, in collaboration with Engineering.
• Schedule production for high-quality, on-time/in-full delivery to customers.
• Foster a department culture balancing accountability with a collaborative environment.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
