Job summary

PowerSecure seeks a Power Generation Quality Control Technician for 2nd shift to inspect and test generator systems, ensuring electrical coding compliance and safe energization readiness before shipment. The role involves documentation, testing, and on-site safety practices within a manufacturing environment.

Candidate must meet basic education requirements, NFPA70E, and have 2+ years in switchgear/electrical/generator systems; engineering or programming background may substitute where

Qualifications

• High school diploma or higher; experience considered.
• NFPA70E required.
• Ability to read and interpret safety rules, manuals and directions in English.
• Minimum of 2 years’ experience with switchgear, electrical, or generator systems (unless applying for apprenticeship).
• Engineering or programming experience can substitute for electrical/generator experience.

Responsibilities

• Locate and track documentation for specific jobs.
• Run procedural tests and inspections per gear types.
• Load files and test sequences per project notes.
• Accurately record test results and component specs.
• Move gear with forklift or pallet jack.
• Removal and reinstallation of panels up to 50 lb.
• Other duties as assigned.
