Job summary

TOPPAN Packaging Americas in DeKalb is seeking a Packer I (Second Shift). You will verify job orders, ensure materials are staged, pack finished goods, label and palletize, and complete production documentation while maintaining quality and safety standards.

Requirements include the ability to speak, read, and write English; prior packing experience preferred; ability to follow written and verbal instructions; and the ability to operate a pallet jack. You are dependable and reliable.

Responsibilities

• Verify job orders to determine correct box quantity and corrugated size for each production run.
• Confirm all required materials are staged and ready for packing.
• Position and mark reclaim carts according to reclaim guidelines during production.
• Visually inspect product for defects to ensure quality standards are met.
• Pack finished goods according to customer specifications.
• Set scales for first full box and monitor weights during production.
• Label, seal, and palletize finished boxes.
• Complete production documentation accurately and on time.
• Ensure machine guarding is in place for safe operation.
• Rotate and replace reclaim carts, pallets, and finished goods as needed.
• Remove scrap from machines and place into designated reclaim carts.
• Monitor reclaim quality according to reclaim procedures.
• Perform daily housekeeping to keep work area clean and free of debris.
