Job summary

Drug Plastics & Glass Company Inc. is seeking a Packer Inspector for the 2nd shift in a fast-paced, on-site manufacturing environment. You will inspect bottles, package them, and ensure carton labeling and quality per PQS standards.

Responsibilities include recording daily production data, communicating quality issues to the next shift, and maintaining a clean, organized work area. Overtime may be required, with adherence to GMP and safety guidelines.

Qualifications

  • Good mathematical skills to perform basic math calculations, including addition and subtraction.
  • Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing.
  • Ability to read effectively while performing job duties and determine product quality.
  • Demonstrated ability to make well-thought-out decisions and take appropriate actions.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and under pressure.
  • Visual acuity to read materials and identify color/shade differences.
  • Hearing ability to understand instructions in a factory setting.
  • Willingness to work overtime as required.

Responsibilities

  • Obtain empty cartons from conveyor or other sources.
  • Prepare cartons to receive packed or tumble packed products and place cartons accordingly.
  • Apply carton labels as defined in policy.
  • Inspect bottles per PQS and customer specs; handle stack/tumble packed products.
  • Remove full cartons and close cartons per procedures.
  • Grind scrap and rejected bottles produced by machines.
