Job summary

Qualifications

• Prior manufacturing experience preferred.
• Able to use computer touch screens to start and stop lines as needed.
• Must be able to obtain and maintain a company pallet jack license.
• Ability to read a limited number of two-and three-syllable words and to recognize similarities and differences between words and between series of numbers.
• Effective communication skills.
• Ability to add and subtract two-digit numbers.
• Capable to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in oral form.
• Demonstrates the ability to maintain positive interpersonal relationships and work effectively with others to complete work assignments.
• Able to safely lift and carry 50lbs.
• Able to work independently or with others in a team environment depending upon the assignment.
• Self-motivated while also willing to ask questions and seek direction.
• Displays responsible behavior at work.
• Open to change.
• Ability to work in cold, wet, noisy, dusty and humid environments.
• Ability to work around required cleaning solutions.
• Possesses good hand-eye coordination.
• Able to stand on hard surface most of the shift, ascend and descend stairs, bend, stoop or crouch, grasp and reach.

Responsibilities

• Inspect egg quality and remove broken eggs.
• Label boxes correctly.
• Read dates and item numbers.
• Ensure bags/pails are sealed and clean.
• Stack CHEX onto pallets.
• Supply material to Top Lidder machine.
• Load material into case erector.
• Maintain a clean production area.
• Follow SOPs, GMPs, hygiene rules.
• Report safety/quality concerns to management.
• Follow safety policies.
• Ability to work weekends/holidays/overtime.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
