Job summary

Nidec in Lexington, TN is hiring for a Wind and Connect technician on the Second Shift to operate equipment and complete windings and winding components in electrical motors. A High School Diploma or GED is required and work follows pre-established guidelines under supervision.

You will prepare cores, install wires, slot winders, and top sticks, ensure phase sheets or felts, thermocouples/RTD, and taps are correct, and monitor materials and tolerances.

• Requires the ability to read and write and follow work orders and specific instructions.

Responsibilities

• Properly prepares cores to receive wiring.
• Installs wires, slot winders, coil separators and top sticks.
• Installs phase sheets or felts, thermocouples or RTD, taps.
• Ensures proper material, assembly techniques and tolerances are met.
• Makes quality decisions and adjustments.
• Observes good safety practices.
• Performs other duties as assigned by Supervisor or Team Leader.
