Job summary

Atlas Copco US Voorheesville is seeking a Mechanical Assembler to build and test compressors and related equipment. You will perform precision mechanical and electrical assembly, align motors, install wiring, and run hydrostatic tests to ensure quality.

Qualifications

• One year of training in electrical or mechanical field or two years of equivalent experience.
• Able to read and understand assembly and wiring drawings.
• Experience with common hand and pneumatic tools.
• Certification to use cranes and forklift trucks.

Responsibilities

• Assemble and disassemble compressors, blowers, and related equipment using hand tools, power tools, cranes, and fork trucks.
• Perform mechanical and electrical assembly work, including motor/compressor alignment, electrical box assembly, and system installation.
• Install and connect instrument wiring, electrical components, and oil/water piping by following assembly and wiring drawings.
• Conduct hydrostatic testing and other verification steps to ensure equipment meets quality and operational standards.
• Follow all company safety rules and procedures, maintaining OSHA compliance and a safe work environment.
• Work second shift: Monday through Thursday 3:00pm to 1:30am EST.

You will

• Assemble and disassemble compressors, blowers, and related equipment using hand tools, power tools, cranes, and fork trucks.
• Perform mechanical and electrical assembly work, including motor/compressor alignment, electrical box assembly, and system installation.
• Install and connect instrument wiring, electrical components, and oil/water piping by following assembly and wiring drawings.
