Job summary

Atlas Copco US – Voorheesville facility seeks a Mechanical Assembler on a Mon-Thurs 3:00pm–1:30am shift. You will assemble/disassemble compressors and related equipment, perform mechanical and electrical assembly, install wiring and piping, and conduct hydrostatic tests.

Qualifications

• You have one year of training in the Electrical or Mechanical field or two years of equivalent experience.
• You must read and understand assembly and wiring drawings.
• You should be able to operate common hand and pneumatic tools and be crane/forklift certified.

Responsibilities

• Assemble and disassemble compressors, blowers, and related equipment using hand tools, power tools, cranes, and fork trucks.
• Perform mechanical and electrical assembly work, including motor/compressor alignment, electrical box assembly, and system installation.
• Install and connect instrument wiring, electrical components, and oil/water piping by following assembly and wiring drawings.
• Conduct hydrostatic testing and other verification steps to ensure equipment meets quality and operational standards.
• Follow all company safety rules and procedures, maintaining compliance with OSHA requirements and contributing to a safe work environment.
• Work second shift: Monday through Thursday 3:00pm to 1:30am EST.
