Curtze Food Service in Erie, PA is hiring a second-shift full-time meat packer for our USDA-inspected facility, Specialty Steak Service. The role involves packaging meat per standards, standing for long shifts, and handling cold environments with possible heavy lifting. Training is provided with no prior experience required.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Math skills required.
• Ability to handle sharp cutting tool.
• Ability to stand for more than 8 hours, withstand cold temperatures, and lift heavy.

Responsibilities

• Conform to all relevant USDA standards as they apply to the position.
• Conduct operations in a manner that promotes safety.
• Package meat and meat products according to company standards.
• Control the quality of products to conform to company standards.
• Maintain proper sanitary conditions, including cleaning and sanitizing all work surfaces, utensils, and equipment.
• Perform daily inspection checks of machinery, following all appropriate safety procedures.
• Perform other assigned duties as allocated by management.
