Job summary

Curtze Food Service in Erie, PA is seeking a second-shift, full-time meat packer to efficiently package all meat products in our USDA-inspected facility.

On-the-job training is provided; no previous experience is required. The position requires bending, stooping, repetitive motion, heavy lifting, and the ability to stand for 8 hours in a cool, wet environment with exposure to sharp cutting tools.

Wage: $20.10 per hour. Shift: Sunday through Thursday, 3:30 P.M. – 12:00 A.M. Location: Erie, PA, USA.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED.
• Math skills.
• Ability to handle sharp cutting tool.
• Ability to stand for more than 8 hours, withstand cold temperatures, and lift heavy objects.

Responsibilities

• Conform to all relevant USDA standards as they apply to the position
• Conduct operations in a manner that promotes safety
• Package meat and meat products according to company standards
• Control the quality of products to conform to company standards
• Maintain proper sanitary conditions, including cleaning and sanitizing all work surfaces, utensils, and equipment
• Perform daily inspection checks of machinery, following all appropriate safety procedures
• Perform other assigned duties as allocated by management

Curtze Food Service in Erie, PA, is seeking to hire a second‑shift full‑time meat packer. We operate a protein facility known as Specialty Steak Service. The full‑time meat packer will efficiently package all meat products according to company standards in our USDA‑inspected facility.

*** This position requires bending, stooping, twisting, reaching above, reaching across, using repetitive motion, heavy lifting, and the ability to stand for a minimum of 8 hours daily. The Packer Trimmer will be exposed routinely to adverse temperatures from cold 20-40° F, damp/wet, to freezing temperatures. In addition, this position requires the use of sharp cutting tools. ***

Our ideal candidate will have relatable work experience and withstand a cool and freezing work environment.
