Industrial Metal Supply seeks a Material Handler for the second shift in Sun Valley, Los Angeles, CA. The role involves pulling, packing, wrapping metal items, and ensuring accurate dimensions for customer orders.

A 7-week onboarding program provides hands-on training across departments and shifts. Ideal candidates have 6 months to 1 year of material handling experience in metal manufacturing, good teamwork and communication skills, and a strong safety mindset.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years and older.
• Experience of 6 months to 1 year in material handling preferred in a metal manufacturing environment.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

• Safety is the company’s number one priority. The IMS culture emphasizes safety and a clean, organized, and safe warehouse environment.
• Undergoes a detailed 7-week onboarding program across all departments and shifts.
• Learns to use the business software to pull inventory and process orders.
• Maintains high quality by ensuring accuracy in material dimensions as requested by customers.
• Pulls, packs, and wraps material, and uses tape measures, calipers, or micrometers to verify dimensions.
• Moves material with a forklift and may lift up to 50 pounds repeatedly.
• Adheres to safety policies, PPE requirements, training programs, and environmental regulations.
