Job summary

Service Steel Aerospace in Santa Fe Springs, CA is seeking a Warehouse Material Handler for the 2nd Shift (Mon-Fri 2:00 pm–10:30 pm). You will move inventory, pick/pack orders, and operate forklifts, cranes, and band saws to support metals processing and distribution.

Ideal candidates have a high school diploma, can work in a team, and are comfortable with measuring tools and targets. Safety and quality compliance are essential in this role.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Ability to learn multiple functions in a complex industry.
• Ability to work in a team.
• Knowledge of operating industrial equipment, Band Saws preferred.
• Ability to read measuring equipment (calipers, tapes).
• Must be able to operate crane and forklift.
• Self-motivated and able to act on own initiative.
• Experience working to targets and deadlines.
• Adaptable with a positive attitude toward change.
• Motivated, communicative and goal oriented.
• Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 pounds repetitively.

Responsibilities

• Move inventory and fulfill customer orders according to documented instructions.
• Operate forklifts, side loaders, order pickers, cranes, and band saws as required.
• Receive, store, pick, and ship materials; unload/load trucks and containers.
• Keep work area clean, safe, and orderly.
• Tag materials and update stock records; report irregularities.
• Ensure compliance with safety and quality standards.
• Measure and verify material against specifications.
