Job summary

Magna International Inc. is seeking a forklift operator to support our Piedmont, SC plant. You will be responsible for safe forklift operations, accurate inventory control, and scanning tasks within a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

Ideal candidates hold a high school diploma or GED, a valid driver’s license, and will obtain a forklift license within one week of hire. SAP Shop Floor knowledge is a plus, and the role offers comprehensive benefits and competitive pay.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Hold or obtain a valid driver’s license.
• Current forklift license to be obtained within 1 week of hired.
• Documented proof of training every three years for maintenance of fork lift/truck license must be maintained.
• Must be able to perform Scanning and proper inventory control.
• Knowledge of the capabilities of the equipment and attachments.
• Knowledge of purpose, use and limitations of controls.
• Knowledge of Federal and State Standards and rules.
• VISA SPONSORSHIP NOT AVAILABLE FOR THIS POSITION.

Responsibilities

• Follow, comply, and enforce all environmental health and safety procedures and policies.
• Safely position forks/ lifting platform under, over, or around loaded racks and transport load.
• Use knowledge of safety rules and practices.
• Use truck stability factors with and without a load.
• Perform pre-shift inspections.
• Maintain good housekeeping.
• Follow all safety rules and regulations.
• Ability to scan, label, reconcile.
• Demonstrate knowledge of parking and shut down procedures.
• Understand Flow Rack process flow.
• Cross-train in related departments as needed.
• Perform other duties as required.
