Job summary

Harrison Steel Castings Co. in Indiana is seeking a second shift Maintenance Supervisor to coordinate Maintenance Mechanics and ensure safe, dependable, and productive equipment operation.

You will write work orders, prioritize tasks, and supervise maintenance activities to minimize downtime. The role requires a high school diploma or GED (or 5 years related experience), ability to read electrical/hydraulic/mechanical/plumbing schematics, and proficiency in MS Office.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED or equivalent experience.
• Minimum five years related maintenance/engineering experience.
• Ability to read and understand electrical, hydraulic, mechanical and plumbing schematics.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.

Responsibilities

• Writes work orders and assigns work to be done.
• Prioritizes the work to be done to keep production on schedule and minimize downtime.
• Determines extent of work and whether to repair or replace parts to minimize downtime.
• Conducts safety meetings and ensures safety procedures are understood and followed.
• Inspects quality, completion of work and cleanup at all job sites.
• Keeps records of hourly attendance and conducts employee evaluations.
• Assists in employee performance evaluations.
• Assists in maintenance of production and operation equipment.
• Follows job work instructions.
